Vision and Mission
As technology advances and we see our world evolve in stride, demand for drone operations as well as STEM education has been exponentially increasing. Whether it be drone surveying, mapping, inspection, 3D modelling; drones have been at the core of today’s society. 5GNU sees this vision, and have teamed up with AOPA China to execute this.
Our courses cover more basic STEM education that trains and develops students to think in a creative and scientific way; we not only train them to code groups of drones, handle drones manually, and also create beautiful drone performances with LED lights– at the end of each course, our students are also awarded with an official AOPA certificate as a mark of completion. AOPA (China) is an organization under the Civil Aviation Administration of China and is responsible for the examination, certification and management of educational drone instructors and pilots across the country. Our company 5GNU is the exclusive examination center in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, we support students through our STEAM to PRO Programme: students can choose to enroll in our professional courses that teach them how to operate 5G4K industrial drones. DJI Matrice300 and 30 are used for these courses, and upon completion you will get a certificate acknowledging your professional skills. This is especially useful for individuals who are interested in surveying, inspection, mapping and 3D modelling, but it is open to all. Additionally, 5GNU and partners are in charge of the filming and live streaming of Hong Kong’s National Fireworks shows: upon completion, you could join us on our ventures and be a part of streaming to the biggest tv providers in Hong Kong and more.
Professional Teaching Team and Gear
Our instructors are all seasoned drone pilots with a range of different experiences. They have obtained professional qualifications under AOPA and CAAC.
Our teaching equipment is also professional: as a company that prides itself in innovation and education, we will be providing a myriad of different equipment, as well as potentially new and innovative products that would be hard to find elsewhere.
Training Facilities
Indoor Training Centre
Our lectures will be held indoors in our designated classrooms. Students will have the opportunity to learn and interact with other classmates, as well as ask questions to our team of teachers. Our indoor training ranges from lectures to professional training via flight simulation.
Outdoor Training Centre
Our outdoor training centres are mainly for industrial drone operation training: students will have the opportunity to fly big drones around an open space with a designated instructor.
